BUFF - Frequently asked questions

Consultations


No treatment can take place without a prior consultation. Consultations are free and will be booked prior to your appointment in the case of facials / body treatments. This is the perfect opportunity to discuss your expectations, needs and take a full medical history so we can rule out any contraindications. Please bring a list of any current medication regularly taken, or that you have taken in the past 12 months. For lashes, waxing and tinting a free patch test MUST be carried out 48 hours prior to your first treatment with me. Due to industry legislation there are no exceptions to this. All client information is documented and held securely in the strictest confidence inline with GDPR regulations (please see GDPR statement).




Cancellation Policy


Any treatment over £20.00 requires a 50% deposit. Should as a result of a patch test fail or a medical reason at consultation resulting in you being unable to receive the treatment, you will be given a full refund or offered an alternative suitable treatment. Should you have an appointment booked and we go into a national / local lockdown, you will be given the option of re-booking or a refund. Any appointment cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will forfeit their deposit. If for any unforeseeable reason I must cancel your appointment, you will be offered a choice of re-booking with a discount by way of an apology, or a full refund.




Pregnancy


Some treatments are unsuitable for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Please book a consultation to discuss.




Treatments on minors


Some treatments are unsuitable or cannot be carried out on minors. Others may require parental / legal guardian consent. The parent / legal guardian must be present for the consultation and treatment.




What to wear for your treatment?


Please wear loose and comfortable clothing. If you are coming straight from work or the gym, please bring a comfy change of clothes. We cannot be held liable for any unlikely damage to your clothes caused by products during your treatment.




Payment


Payment methods accepted are cash, card (chip & pin or contactless) or bank transfer. Payment over the phone will not be accepted.




COVID-19


If you have a temperature or symptoms of COVID, or anyone in your household does / is isolating, please do not come to your appointment. Contact me to discuss. We have a QR code, please scan in when you arrive for your appointment. Hand sanitiser is available for you to use as you enter the building. Please wear a face covering (unless exempt). For any treatment that requires your face to be exposed, or when lying on your front during a body treatment it can be removed. Full PPE will be worn at all times, by myself including disposable gloves (latex free), mask, eye protectors and aprons. All surfaces are sanitised between clients and disposable roll is used. Any non-disposable goods (towels) are boiled after each use. All non-disposable tools are surgical steel and sterilised accordingly, blades are surgical steel and single use. All other tools are disposable.




Packages


Are you getting married or have a big event coming up? Why not book a course of treatments leading up to it? Block bookings will receive an overall 10% discount. Please note, if you are going abroad / going to be exposed to the sun, dermaplaning needs to be carried out at least 14 days before to avoid higher risks of burning / damage to skin.




Loyalty Rewards


For regular clients, each visit will earn you an entry into a monthly draw. Each month a treatment will be announced and a name drawn out. If you win and the treatment isn't suitable for you, you may swap it for a suitable one for the same value. There is no cash alternative. You can opt out of the draw. If you consent to being entered in the draw your name will appear on social media platforms.




Key Worker Rewards


As a thank you to all key workers during the pandemic I would like to give you 10% off your first treatment with me. All you need to do is bring your ID to your consultation.




GDPR


Your information will never be shared with any other companies or people without your express written consent.




Photos / Images


I will take photos before, during and after your treatments. They are an important visual tool in your treatment progress. They will be electronically securely stored. They may be used for advertising (with your consent). If you wish to remain anonymous/ have your face hidden this can and will be arranged. All images remain the property of Buff and at no time will they be allowed to be used by third parties without your express written consent. The Buff logo will appear on all images, including any shared with you directly. The only photos of treatments taking place on anyone under the age of 18 will be before and after for facials / lashes and facial waxing. No body photos will be taken. You are requested not to take photos or record body treatments taking place without prior agreement.. No recording equipment / cameras are to be used in the room without prior agreement. This includes mobile phone cameras, Snapchat stories etc.
